Process

Documenting the process journey is therapeutic to me. Looking through the photos I take while working on projects shows me how far I have come from the initial sketch to a 3D garment. Through obstacles and challenges and triumphs and successes, my sketches come to life within these process images. Below are a selection of process photos from various projects I have created.

FUTURE OF FEMME Collection Process

Starting with initial sketches to working with leather for the first time, these photos document an inside look at my design journal, quick sketches, pattern manipulation and development, fabric tests and model fittings.

Breaking Tradition Wedding Gown, 2019

Throughout these photos you will see my first sketch, the initial planning of the placed lace motifs on the bodice, the drape of the sleeve, the finished handsewn bodice and finally the first test fits on my model.

A Day at the Opera, Conceptual Couture, 2019

With this garment, I experimented with mixing fabrics and transparencies. Throughout these photos you will see my development of mixing the vibrant gold fabric with the embroidered lace. The bodice is a traditional corset paired with a modern take on a cigarette pant.

Reflect, Menswear, 2018

For this look I wanted to create my version of athleisure wear for men. I was drawn to the neon pink color and new it would make the wearer stand out. I also focused on comfort for this look with the knit fabric used for the pants. The look was topped off with the effortless reflective rain jacket that would make the wearer feel safe while exercising and like a rockstar walking down the street.
