Breaking Tradition, Bridal Gown, 2019

Inspired by both of the designer’s grandmother’s bridal gowns, this illusion lace and satin modern wedding gown is titled Breaking Tradition. The goal of this gown was to create an intimate feeling with the illusion mesh/lace bodice. The illusion of an off-the-shoulder gown is brought to life by the mesh sleeve combined with the satin, almost as if the sleeve is falling off the gown and breaking that tradition. The closure in the back of the gown adds to the delicate feel with creme satin covered buttons, an invisible zipper and an elegant bow detail. The sleeve cuffs also have a satin covered button for function and wearability. All lace on the bodice was hand-sewn onto the mesh to create a more personal pattern of motifs.

A Day at the Opera, Conceptual Couture, 2019

Inspired by a day at the Palais Garnier experienced by the designer during a trip to Paris in January, 2019. The designer’s favorite day of the trip was to the Opera House with its rich colors and gold detailing. This modern evening wear look was her personal spin on what a modern woman would wear to the Opera. This look consists of a cigarette pant and matching corset with the illusion of the gold overskirt. The inspiration for the hooded cape comes from the mystery and drama of The Phantom of the Opera.
